Membership Committee

Committee Charge – The Membership Committee is charged with monitoring BOMA Greater Dallas membership and developing and implementing plans for increasing membership in all real estate categories. This Committee reports to the Board of Directors.

Committee Composition – Membership on the Membership Committee is subject to the policies and procedures established by the Board of Directors. Per existing policy:

  • The Committee should have at least 15 members of which 4 will be designated for the Young Professional (YP) subcommittee as further defined below;
  • The Committee will have a chair and two vice-chairs, who must be real estate members; one of which will:
  • vice-chair the YP subcommittee as further defined below;
  • The composition of the committee must be at least 60% real estate and no more than 40% allied members and should strive to contain at least one engineer member, 1 industrial professional, 1 medical office professional, and one allied representative, and;
  • As a subcommittee to the membership committee will be a designated group focused on Young Professionals (under the age of 40)
  • ​The subcommittee will have a vice-chair, who must be a real estate member who will report to the Chair of the membership committeee;
  • The subcomittee should have at least 4 members who are under the age of 40;
  • The composition of the subcommittee must be at least 60% real estate and no more than 40% allied members
