BOMA Greater Dallas
The 87th Texas Legislative Session has produced several new laws that could impact Texans, notably the Firearm Carry Act of 2021 (also referred to as Constitutional Carry). HB 1927, which went into effect on September 1, allows individuals 21 years of age and older to possess and carry a handgun in public without a government-issued permit or license, provided they are not otherwise prohibited from possessing a firearm under state or federal law. What does this mean for the commercial real estate industry, which must keep buildings secure while respecting the rights of citizens?
Find out the answer to this and more at BOMA Greater Dallas’ next Member Luncheon – Legal Issues in Commercial Real Estate on Tuesday, October 19, at Prestonwood Country Club. Attorney Tony Barbieri of Kessler Collins, PC, legal counsel for BOMA Greater Dallas, also will discuss legal considerations related to COVID-19, including masking and requiring employees and tenants to be vaccinated as a condition to return to work or enter commercial buildings. Plus, Barbieri will answer your burning legal questions during his Ask the Attorney segment. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to talk to a legal expert who knows the CRE industry!
