Virtual Coffee & Chat with Government Affairs Committee - BOMA International's Advocacy Initiatives
Tuesday, June 21, 9-10 a.m.
BOMA International’s federal advocacy team provides members of Congress with insight and expertise about issues impacting the commercial real estate industry. The BOMA Greater Dallas Government Affairs Committee invites you to the next virtual Coffee & Chat with GAC on Tuesday, June 21, to learn more about what BOMA International is fighting for on Capitol Hill.
One of BOMA’s current initiatives is garnering support for the Green Energy Loan Enhancement Act, which is being sponsored by U.S. Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO 6). With the average age of most U.S. commercial buildings over 53 years old, the CRE industry faces a growing demand to deliver modern, smarter, and more energy-efficient buildings to meet the rapidly evolving needs and expectations of today’s tenants. The Green Energy Loan Enhancement Act would increase the 504/CDC qualifying loan cap from $5.5 million to $10 million to be used to finance renovations, retrofits, and the purchase of major fixed assets such as land, buildings, equipment, and machinery.
At this Coffee & Chat with GAC, you’ll also learn more about BOMA International’s efforts related to workforce development, a carbon reduction framework for the CRE industry, and much more! Don Davis, Esq., BOMA International’s Vice President of Advocacy & Building Codes, will provide the latest updates for BOMA Greater Dallas members.
Register today to save your spot. You will be emailed a link to the Zoom meeting in advance so you can tune in. There will be plenty of time for your questions.
