Tuesday, September 28
Breakfast, 8 a.m.
Program/Q-and-A, 8:30-10 a.m.
Douglas Center (8343 Douglas Ave, Dallas, TX 75225)
The BOMA Greater Dallas Foundation Education Committee and BGD Engineer Committee invite you to a special breakfast program, 5Ps for Powerful Management, on Tuesday, September 28, at Douglas Center (8343 Douglas Ave., Dallas, TX 75225).
A manager’s ability to be effective directly affects the level of engagement and commitment an employee feels towards their organization. A recent Gallup study reveals that only 33% of the population is currently engaged at work. This
means that an astonishing 67% of employees are not engaged in their day-to-day work life. In fact, 75% of employees who quit their jobs, quit because of their manager. At this session, speaker Julie Lynch, Chief Talent Officer for LYNOUS Talent Management, will empower you with techniques and tools to engage and lead a high-performing team, with an emphasis on People Management, Project Management, Performance Management, Problem Management and Personal Management.
By attending, you will:
- Learn a proactive management style to avoid common pitfalls that derail managers;
- Discover how to communicate effectively up and down your organization;
- Learn how to develop a proactive plan for managing;
- Identify how to manage task-related and interpersonal crises; and
- Develop self-awareness and determine the support you need to successfully manage employees.
Join us for breakfast at 8 a.m., followed by the session from 8:30-10 a.m. There will be plenty of time for Q-and-A. Real estate professionals also can earn 1 CE hour for TREC credit.
Cost is FREE for Real Estate Professionals, Building Engineers, and BOMA Greater Dallas Allied Members – a benefit of being a BGD member. However, if you want to receive TREC credit, the cost is $25/per person. Space is limited; please register online by September 24 and indicate if you wish to earn TREC credit. The cost is $45 for non-member real estate participants.
